Seriously, 5.5 inches of rain overnight? Yes, that is what we got!

Back to School
Baylor ended up going to school this morning, but at 2:00 am I was not sure he was going to. My Mommy ESP kicked in around that time and I reached out to him and he was burning up like a little fire pit. He woke up to go to the bathroom and when he came back I took his temperature. It was 101 degrees! So he downed some meds and went right back to sleep. I checked him when he woke up and he was at normal but we had him take a cool bath anyway. He said his day went well but he crashed early on the couch and I got some Grimm time!!

Stay At Home Monday
I checked the moon when I let Eddy out in the morning and it was still looking good; quite recovered from its recent eclipse.
I keep my poofy eyed son home from school just in case his eyes started weeping again. They would just have sent him home anyway with yellow goop started coming out his eyes! (which they never did by the way, he was fine all day) I worked from the table and he played video games or watched TV all day. Epic for him I am sure and much better than being at school.
But I did have to take him to the Dr's office to get his eye drops refilled. $20.00 for them to tell me no fever, no ear infection, and his throat looked fine. But I got the prescription refilled! And he weighs 55 lbs! Back to school with you kid!

Sunday, Blood Moon Sunday
It was a beautiful early morning sunrise. There is no sleeping in for me with my Eddy around so I was up and out of bed at 4:37. But then I get to see this so it is worth it. But quiet without my little man around.
I puttered around in the morning and got a text around 10:45 that the morning was going well and I could come pick up him around noon. I went to Michael's and then headed over. Ginnie said they did great, he did great sleeping and started in the bed with Z and moved to the floor in his sleeping bag. They went to Sky Zone Saturday night and then out for ice cream. Kartikey was back from England and had gifts for Baylor. His mom dropped him off around 2 and they played video games for a while, played outside and then inside. Around 5 Baylor started to wind down and complain about not feeling well. He started to say his ear hurt, his throat hurt and his eye hurt, all on the right side. His eye was weeping, which is normal for him when he has sinus issues. I put in his eye drops which made him upset because he said they burned. After Kartikey left he just wanted to snuggle on the couch and feel asleep within 30 minutes. But it was not a restful sleep for many hours. He would start tossing and kicking and talking in his sleep saying he wanted to go home, he wanted his Mommy. I would tell him he was home and I was right here and his response was that was just something he would say. I had Gloria sleep in the guest room in case he was like that all night. I can be sleepy at work at a computer, but on a forklift with thousands of pounds of pet food on her forks, she needs to be awake!
But I was up to see the Blood Moon eclipse. Loved it!!!

It's a Birthday and A Party!
After swimming class Baylor and I headed to the farmer's market for cabbage and some Vietnamese egg rolls for lunch. Delicious!!! Then we headed south for Cullen's birthday party. It was at the same park as Lochlan's and the same pavilion. Sadly, only one school friend came to the party, two neighbors (siblings) and two kids that are kids of parental friends, Chloe and Baylor. It was nice in a way because we pretty much let the kids play and we talked (I held the baby!). They had a game planned but with so few kids, the neighbors did not want to participate and Chloe is not a fan of balloon popping, they let the boys just pop the balloons in any way they wanted to.
She did help me clean up the balloons, as did all the kids.
The theme was Hot Wheels so the kids played pin the tire on the car, I was the blindfolder and spinner. Then they did the car pinata. With only a handful of kids, they each got a lot of candy!
The kids, in all their goofy glory.
They all got to wear masks before the cup cakes. My Storm Tropper Racer! We sang and ate cupcakes. The wind was blowing so I could only manage to light one candle of the 7 in Cullen's cupcake. I stayed talking with the ladies until 4:45 and forgot I needed to head home to drop Baylor off at Zayden's for the long awaited sleep over!
I know he was going to miss the amazing moon that night but I wished him well. He was so excited I don't think he even looked back at me when I left. I asked the moon to watch over my little one away from home for the second time.

Before and After: Picture Frame
This poor frame went through several coats of paint before I decided on the one I liked best. It was black, then gold, then cream and finally the color of the walls in the dining room, which I cannot remember the name of.
But it is now hanging on the attic door so I can add photos and such. I think I will need to get stronger string, the $ store string is not very strong. Go figure!

Happy Birthday Presley
My niece is One!! One year down and many to go. Her mom put the split photo on FB and boy how they change in a year.
And Baylor was on FB as well because he earned a Paw Pass for good behavior. He was the first to earn one in his class. A few kids from the senior high school came down to talk about respect and good behavior and the kids had their photos taken. Baylor wore his Stormtropper sweatshirt all day apparently!

New Day and New Math
The sun rise this morning was spectacular! A friend further up in PA posted it on FB and I replied with my photo saying we had to same one down here!
After school I took Baylor to dinner and then we went to Landon's for a bit while his dad went to the meeting on the new math the kids are doing. I am not math inclined and Landon's dad and I have talked about our frustration with the new math. He said it was a sales pitch for the new way and that it is supposed to teach relationships and reasoning; not just 2-1=1 but what that looks like. While he was at the HS, I more or less sat on the couch watching the news while they played. I did have to be the finder for hide and seek but that was fine.
And I got to be the Pirate while I was searching for my booty, I mean hiding boys!

Sunday Funday
I think I started a fast fix on this shelf last fall and decided to wait until this summer to make it the way I wanted it. My grandpa and I made this in 2004 and it hung in my kitchen for several years until we repainted and then never put it back up. I want to hang it in the living room so I spent some time painting over it and letting it dry. Then I hit it with the sander and sandpaper to make it look worn in many places. I stained the bare spots and darkened the paint for a bit of a grimy look. When I was happy with it I finished it with a paste wax for a nice durable finish. I cannot wait to hang it up next month.
Another photo taken from FB of my brother's family enjoying a football game. They will be back in Patriots country soon, which I am sure will make them happy!
In the afternoon we meet Zayden and his mom for a bit of bowling. She had a Groupon and I had to pay $25.00! But we had a good time and us Mom's totally benefited from the bumpers!! Baylor even got a strike on the second game. They had the fun house mirrors by the doors. I wish we could get them for the Halloween party!! None of them made us wonderfully tall and slim, just shorter and squatter.
The boys wrestled their good-byes. Next Saturday Baylor is going over to Z's for a sleep over and it is all they can talk about!
Our Eddy Baby is getting older and seemingly faster. She is having some skin issues again so is getting lots of baths and creams. We love our lady baby.

Saturday Antics
We had swimming class on this beautiful day. They are not jumping into the deep end this session, which is sad because he was going to try it this time. I know he would have done it, because he would not say that he would try if he had not made up his mind. Someday I will see him leap from the board into the deep water and swim to the ladder.
Mom and Dad were at the house when we got home. We went to Hoss's for lunch as part of a fund raiser for one of my neighbor's granddaughter. She has cancer and part of the money would go to her. They also had raffle baskets that we contributed to as well. When we got home I asked Dad to help hang some shelves, one in the living room and one in the bathroom. Love them!!
And they helped me close the pool Summer is nearly over for sure.

Fall Festival Elementary School Style
After picking Baylor up at COF, we headed to the other elementary school for the Fall Festival. We were early but added our cheesy poofs to the food table (our last name fell in the snack group) Since there was not much there to eat we went outside to the playground. Baylor hung around with Payton and a few other boys whose name I didn't catch. Payton seems to be a bit of a leader, or someone the kids like to follow, because where ever he went, the boys followed. Including the hay ride, when Mommy sat on the side of the playground watching. Baby steps to independence.
When Zayden arrived, the two boys were stuck together for the rest of the night. They both wanted their face painted and both choose to be Iron Man. The girl did a really good job, in my opinion.
Zayden's pose cracks me up!! Whadup' Dawg?
The kids watched the sunset on the bank of the school grounds. It did not photograph well at all but it was very pretty in the end. We stayed until 7:30, letting the kids the most out of their time to play. While we were walking out I saw a FB post on the PTO page about a missing purse, which was within 10 feet of where we were standing. So I handed it into the principal. All was well again and I took my Iron Man home, and immediately washed his face!!
