August Catch Up

August started out with a gorgeous evening sky.

Rare visit to the dog park and Roxie was a ball bit@h again.  She likes to run around with a ball and then growl at other dogs who want her ball or look at her ball.

Even Jake cannot look at her ball without being growled out.

Jake was getting some lovings from Marcus.

Daycare photo dump and the kids made it into a lot of photos.

Even though the bunny is dead, Jake is still hopeful it will appear again.

Friday night on the couch with my babies.

Roxie loves socks.  A lot.  So I started an Instagram hashtag of her and her socks #roxiehasasock.

The new curtains arrived and are much darker than the old ones. Jake still knows how to move them out of his way to look outside though.

Barkby had another open Sunday swim.  With all the rain there was no lure chasing.  Water was just running down the mountain and through there property.  It was so slippery and muddy the dogs would have had no chance at lure chasing.  Jake was just happy to swim and Roxie, in her own life vest, was happy to run around the water's edge.  We have worked with her in our pool to get more comfortable in the water and I think it helped her out.

The peeing in the pond was not what I had in mind for her but she must have liked the idea.

Sam and Jake are best friends and happy to see each other.

Little princess in her red vest.

My goose just swimming and swimming and swimming.

Bean loves to fetch and loves the water as well.

She was a bit braver this time, going into her chest at least.

She did love playing with her splashes. She tried to catch them and while she was doing that she made more splashes which made her more excited.

Almost in far enough to swim.

Meanwhile back at home, the fair was starting to arrive.

We wanted to have a fire every weekend but it seems hit or miss so far.

Kartikey and Baylor said they were living the leprechaun life with in the new chairs. Whatever that means.

Roxie loves Kartikey and he is only mildly comfortable with her.

We went to Tokyo Diner for lunch and it was delicious!

Roxie has a sock

And another sock

and another sock.  I am not sure when the sock wearing members of my family will remember we have a sock destroyer in the house.  In the meantime, she will continue to destroy any socks I cannot get away from her.

Grimm is still going strong, fat and happy.  Well, happy when he is not a dog toy!

Baylor trying to get his sock while trying to get ready to leave.  It happens every morning.

The fair arrived and Baylor and I had a fun evening together riding rides and checking out our little fair.

Baylor gave a beagle puppy a snuggle and got a few puppy kisses.

Guess who has a sock?

Couch cuddles with Jake.

Free bag with every cat.

The McGraw family came for a visit and we celebrated Gloria and Lochlan's birthdays together.  She let him blow out the candles.

Today she got two socks.

Begging for something but they are so cute together, I rarely say no.

Roxie says no when I ask for socks. I have treats stashed all over the house so I can grab one and make an exchange.

I love this dog!  He is much calmer than last year and less stressful for me.  And so handsome!

Hello Moon!  Always happy to see you.

She found a sock

And another

Still has the sock

We were invited the Griffin's birthday party and Baylor had a good time with the kids and the trees.

And the tree swing.

It was a lovely party and he was given so many nice presents.

I went out to check the tomatoes and one of the plants had fallen over due to being top heavy.  I left it there rather than trying to get it upright and possibly breaking it off.  I have better tomato cages but they were stuck in the wineberry canes earlier in the season.  They would not have let this happen!

We had time for a nice fire.

The boys keep stealing my chair but that is OK, they only last about 10 minutes out there.

Roxie has a sock

Tomato harvest.  The plants are doing well but the tomatoes are splitting because of all the rain we have had.

Celebrating Dad's birthday at Hoss's.

Brain freeze!

She found another sock, shocking!

The first day of school finally arrived.  Where did summer go and how did he get into fourth grade?!

I canned my tomato harvest. Only took over an hour just to peel the little guys.

Another sock found.

Gloria usually take Baylor for hair cuts but with her working evenings and weekends, I had to take him.  I found a barber shop right down from Circle of Friends and Barber Todd did a great job on Baylor's hair.  And for $9.00 we will be back!

Cannot decide if he is on the back of the couch or sliding off.  Crazy dog!!
