The week started with the eclipse and I was so excited to be able to view it the way I did when I was in first or second grade. I remember standing in the playground at John H Amess Elementary School with my index cards. One had a square cut out with a pin hole in it. I made one for this eclipse as well. No one at work bought glasses but we rigged up a close enough with some dark glasses, the shields you get from the eye Dr when they dilate your eyes and the tint on the windows at work. We could see it glancing quickly at it and it was so fun to do. We watched it online as it moved across the country.
Solar Selfie did not work at all to see it.
Wednesday marked the first day of third grade. Third grade!!!! He moved up to the other elementary school and was a bit nervous for his first day. We talked about how all the third graders were going to feel the same way and that he would get through the day just fine.
He did make it through the day and after school we celebrated Gloria's birthday. Baylor made her a Kit Kat Sundae, his specialty. Happy 47th Birthday Mama!!
Thursday Jake received his first Bullymake Box for super chewers. I was pretty excited to see what he would get and he was excited about new treats.
He is a toy destroyer and these are supposed to be indestructible or you get new ones.
This is a tube you can stuff treats in. He is not to bright and has not quite figured them out. He does not try to chew them to crunch up the treats inside. He tried to lick them out.
And also he received his first Bark Box for super chewers.
It had a camera and a globe that can be stuffed as well.
and lots of treats.
Friday evening we went to the park and Jake played tug with his friends
while Baylor and I worked on his math homework. Yup, third day of school and we had homework. Have to start it sometime.
Saturday afternoon I took Jake to the park and he played with a Rotty. Until he was done playing and got super toy aggressive. That has been a recent change in him and I will have to figure out what to do to correct it.
Snapchat funnies!
We headed to Chambersburg for Lochlan's third birthday party by their pool. It was a lovely day for the party and it was lovely to see my friend!
Pool play with his friend.
Spiderman stopped by to see the birthday boy and boy was Lochlan excited!!!
Baylor was too busy playing with the neighborhood kittens to really care about Spidey.
But Wicket liked Spidey.
Lochlan received a lot of nice three year old toys and was super happy with everything.
These two are always sad when we have to leave. Cullen usually tries to smuggle himself home with us. I do wish we lived closer!! Or I had my commune and I could have all my friends close.
I stopped at their Aldi, because it is much bigger than mine and the setting sun was lovely!
Sunday we went to Heather's camp site to celebrate my parent's birthdays. The kids had fun in the creek and it was my turn to follow them around.
Connor was the only one who went under, the rest said it was too cold.
Happy Birthday Dad and Mom!!
Baylor passed out on the way home so you know it was a good day!
We took Jake to the park to play because he was in the crate all day. He was a toy jerk again.
