Round Up

9-26

The weather has taken a turn to the colder end of the thermometer and poor Eddy is just cold now that she is so thin.  I pulled out her shirts I made her many, many years ago to help her keep warm.  For many years she was too fat to wear these, she looked like a stuffed sausage!  Now it just hangs off her thin body.  My baby girl!!

I picked up two little pumpkins for my desk while we were at the farm stand.

And Grimm is happy we have the windows open as well.  He loves to sit in the kitchen window, actually any window he can get into, but this seems to be a favorite.

9-27

One of the local roads is closed for a few weeks while a little bridge is being replaced so morning traffic has been twice as bad as normal.  But today we also hit our favorite train!!

I went to the Dollar Tree at lunch for some Hallowe'en stuff.  I sent my DT salesman my DT selfie.

9-28

I was up early, like an hour before the alarm early, and worked on the Frankenstein pinata.

And I finished my 'candy dish' to take to work to hang from my pod wall.

We came home to a half an inch of rain.  Thankfully more is coming!

9-29

Before I left for work I set out three of the house plants to enjoy a shower to dust of their leaves.  I am sure they will be happy plants for it.

I had my yearly eye check up and they dilated my eyes.  Who needs a Snapchat filter when you can have wide pupils via the eye Dr?

On the other hand, I could not see my computer but oddly, my readers I have for very small print worked for reading my emails so I was able to finish the day.

Baylor brought home his school photos.  He looks amazing!

9-30

The pumpkin is hung and filled for the taking.

Today was a theme day at work, sports teams.  I only have my Ravens jersey.  We take photos on the theme days and this is the first time I participated. I am not a joiner!

Woot, woot, more rain.  It has been raining for four days and we need it.

I changed over the calendar to October and I am tired already.  And I don't think this is everything!!  It is that time of year for us!!

Round Up

9-19

Pink gown can only mean one thing: mammogram day.  I told the tech to make sure we iron out the girls, last year I had to go back because of a fold causing a dark mark.  (it is all good, the mammogram and the results)

The window gardens are growing.  I picked up two dracena at IKEA and pinched off a few succulents when Aldi has some mixed pots in the store.  I need to hang the Donkey tail because it looks really nice when it trails.

Baylor and I ran out to see the sunset after homework.  It was very pretty!

And he tried on his Halloween costume, an Arcader from the movie Pixal.

9-20

Dinner with the family at Pizza Grill.  Yummy.

9-21

Baylor tried to go through what used to be a path in the garden.  This spring I just could not get to it at all and it was like a jungle he said.   I agree!

He was up really early this morning and fell asleep while playing Harry Potter video game.  I wondered why his character was not moving and I looked over and he was out!  Sleepy buddy had to walk up the stairs on his own; I can no longer carry him up stairs.

9-22

Follow up appointment at OOS today for his broken clavicle.  The way he was monkeying around, he is definitely feeling better.

He has good healing around the break but it is not healed completely. We go back in two weeks.  He was not cleared for PE yet either.

9-23

I was able to leave work a few minutes early to run over to pick up Kartikey before I picked up Baylor. I was taking them both to the fall picnic at school and I wanted to surprise Baylor with Kartikey already with me.  His mom works until 6 and would not be able to take him but was coming over to pick him up when she got off work.  They are thick as thieves again this year being in the same class. And I love it.

Baylor took a few selfies of them.

The were off on their own most of the time with me trailing around checking up on them.  They did the hay ride alone again this year.

And I had them pose for me in the tree I am sure they will be in when they move up to this school next year.

September 22nd was Presley's second birthday and they waited until Friday to open the package I sent.  The books were not really part of the gift but some I found that were good books but too young for Baylor.  One of the things I did send as a gift is a cute batik dyed sun dress I bought her last year at the beach.  I hope she gets to wear it next summer.  And I get a photo of her in it!

9-24

Laura said Presley liked her new fox dish set and put Kix in the cup, which made her happy.

Baylor and I had to go out early in the morning to do some shopping and stopped at a farm stand I have driven past for years.  I found an interesting sign Molly would have enjoyed.

Baylor had a double play date and while the boys were playing, I closed up the pool.  Farewell summer 2016, it is now fall 2016.

I also found a fat mantis hopefully going to lay some eggs in the garden.  I showed it to all the boys.

The fur babies were having a snooze together.

9-23

When Joey came to pick up Landon yesterday he said he wanted to take the boys home with him (actually he was just going to take Baylor, he did not know Ryder was there as well) But I told him I have two seats and he said he would take all of them.  Well, we could not find Ryder's one shoe so I looked around even more this morning and found it under the other side of the grill cover.  I checked one side when we were looking but not the other.

And while rooting around the mint bed for the shoe I found an mantis egg case!!

Round Up

9-12

Gloria's parents were down for some appointments and we went out to dinner again.

After dinner mint with my favorite little man.

9-13

The fall blooming clematis is in full bloom and the fragrance hit me as soon as I opened the car door.

9-14

About another month until the first frost and there are still some flowers in the garden.

No wonder I have so many chive plants, these plants make seeds like crazy.

The lantana is so pretty this year, it filled the pot nicely. Sadly, I never see any insects or butterflies on it.

9-15

Baylor brought home his all about me book.  I love these and I love what he sees and thinks.  I have on my usual sandals and my necklace with his name on it.  He made me, Gloria, Eddy, Grimm, Grandma, Buddy, their dog, Julie and Lochlan as his family.  He is good at arts and crafts and loves video games.

Snapchatting while we should be doing homework!

9-16

See the box on the floor full of carton flaps with 8 Box Tops each?  I took them off all the boxes on the pallet.

Over 1000 Box Tops!

And to the best of my counting skills, there are 3072 Box Tops to take in on Monday.

This came up in my FB memories.  Still true today!

9-17

Mom and I went on a road trip to Baltimore. I had told her I wanted to get the kitchen set and felt foods there for Presley for Christmas and they went in on half for it.  And we got to spend the day together.  Baylor and Buddy went to Caledonia but it was too cold to play in the creek.  They went out to lunch and came back to the house.

Mom and I had lunch on the patio at IKEA after our shopping.  And then we went to Trader Joe's for fun.  She has heard me talk about both stores and was happy to finally experience both of them.  It was a good day!

9-18

Sunday Sunshine!  Baylor went to Landon's for most of the day and I did not know what to do with myself.  I may have cleaned a bit, folded some laundry, started a new embroidery project and entered some cheat codes on a Harry Potter game we have been playing.   And we had IKEA meatballs for dinner!  Maybe I did all that with my sparkling face.
