Last Tuesday as a first grader. The countdown has begun.
The pool was half filled up when we got home and he wanted in right away, regardless of the cold water. He had some fun until it was too cold.
The girls came over and wanted to play with the bubbles. Which means we go through a bottle of bubbles while they pop them. I had to make them back up because they were popping them before they left the wand. Then I had to allocate big bubbles otherwise one of them would pop them all and the other two got pouty. And it was not Baylor doing the popping. But he did love his bubbles when it was his turn.
They tried to scream the bobbles to pop, which only worked if they touched them with their mouth or spit on them.
When the girls left to go home, Baylor and I shared some sundaes on the patio. See the hot fudge line on his cup? He loves to drown his ice cream in chocolate sauce. That's my boy.

Baylor's weekend as written in school yesterday. "Over the weekend I first, play bear ping pom. Next, I played croakae. Last, I went to hershy water park for my first time. That's why I loved my weekend. " Thankfully it was bear ping pom and not some other game.
Parenting win no doubt.
Last Wednesday of first grade.
I had my hairs cut over lunch. I liked the sides well enough but it was getting too long in the back. I received my free Vero Brava headband in the mail yesterday so if I need it out of my face, I have a good thing to hold it back with.
Again in the pool tonight. I let the water run while we were away and it was almost to where we need it but it was too cold for me still. I worked on the loose fittings on the filters and we had to add just about an inch of water to get it over the outlet place. Baylor loves the water and loves the pool. He really just wants me to get in but I cannot bear it right now. Old bones and all.
We have a cardinal nesting in one of the rose bushes. She flies out every time we walk by, which is every day.
The pink is coming out in the garden now. The peonies and the rugosa rose in bloom.

Eddy woke me up at 3:30 and was not able to fall asleep so I went out to the kitchen to make a shortcake for strawberries and was able to see the sun rise as well.
I also finished the Eddy paw print bouquet. It will be a great memory of her some day.
And I worked on finishing up the teacher gift for Mrs. Anderson. Last year I embroidery a coffee mug holder for Mrs Murry and I wanted to continue the embroidery theme. Baylor wrote on a piece of paper and I copied onto a tote from the craft store. He picked the colors of floss and I worked on it in the evenings. I took him with me to the craft store to pick out some gifts to put inside. The he picked out the flowers, the L(isa) A(nderson), the note cares, and the Be Awesome. I found and suggested the a few other items.
Last Thursday in first grade. He looks thrilled
Gloria and I took Baylor out to dinner to celebrate the end of the school year. He does love Texas Roadhouse!

This is it, the last day of First Grade. He has lost two more teeth, grown in height and weight, and come so far in his learning. He is my amazing little guy that I love with all my heart.
Especially his goofy side.
I took him to COF and wished him well on his last day. They had beach towels and books to read so it should have been fun as long as the rain held out.
I picked him up a noon and we drove to my parents. He wanted to stay at their house watching a movie with Buddy while Mom and I went to the Green Dragon. We had a good time looking around and shopping. She bought a small wallet and I bought a huge wind chime for super cheap from an Amish stand. I could not pass it up it was so inexpensive compared to others I have seen. Like $200.00 less! We bought veggies and meat for dinner because Baylor requested hibachi rice.
Mom and I prepped everything while Baylor continued his movie watching.
Only jumping in occasionally to help teach Grandma how to cook.
And get cuddles from me!
