Well the laptop was running slow if at all so it went to the computer shop for a tune up (60 viruses removed and some unnecessary programs). So of course I am more behind than usual.
On Saturday July 20th, after being home too many weekends in a row, we headed off on a road trip to Baltimore. Our first stop was at a little farm stand about a mile from our house. We bought corn, cantaloupe, cucumbers, zucchini, and peaches. We had a cooler in the car anyway and filled it with our purchases.
And then we did not stop again until we got to IKEA. I love shopping there and while I did not buy anything large items this time, we had a good shopping trip. We did not have lunch there but we did buy some meatballs for dinner.
And then we went to Trader Joe's. Again we did not buy too much but it is a fun place to shop. I wish we had one up here.
And our third stop was Baylor's surprise stop, a Lego Store. He did enjoy it but was done after he picked one Ninjago item. He wanted to leave after that. I managed to steer him around the store for a bit. We picked out a container and filled it from the a la carte wall. They did not have as many really cool items as I would have wanted for the price were paying but it was fun. I picked out a firetruck and a helicopter which turned out to be good choices. They have a station where you can build three people for $9.99. He did not want to take any home but had fun just putting them together.
The mall is huge! I had to ask someone to help me find the store in the first place. But on the way out of the store we took our time and had some fun. They had place on the floor for the kids to play on. Baylor had fun with this little guy but knocked him down twice. Not on purpose but just running around and the little one stopping or turn in front of him. He helped him out both times to get up. After the second time we moved on because I don't think the Mom would have liked if we knocked him down a third time.
The images flowed when the kids walked on it like ripples on water.
We did our first photo booth shoot and it turned out really cute. We stopped for some frozen yogurt before we hit the road. I bought a Cinnabun, which is the only thing I craved when I was pregnant five years ago. I finally satisfied that craving! And it was delicious!
The carasel was open so we put in money for a ride. Another family walked up while we were having our turn and told them to put their kids on there. There was no point in them waiting, that would be silly. They did thank me and even Baylor was happy to share because he got to play that he was being chased but the red dog car.
Sunday morning he played for about three hours with his new lego friends. I got to clean up the kitchen and make cookies!
I took off work on a Monday to spend the day with Heather and the kids. We decided on picking blueberries at Blue Berry Hill in York Co and then to the Red Lion Water park. The family has been picking berries at Blueberry Hill for many years. Heather went often with Grandma and I have gone with Mom, Steph, and Molly over the years. It was Baylor's first trip to any berry picking as we missed strawberries due to rain and sour cherries due to a really short season and not calling more to see when they were ready. Next year for both! Anyway, Heather drove and we had a nice day for it. It was hot and humid but not completely unbearable. They closed at 1:00 and we arrived at 12:35. They were not very firm on their closing time because they guy kept saying we had another 20 minutes after about 30 minutes. We were done in about an hour and had fun filling our buckets.
Baylor wore his swimming gear because he wanted to be ready for the water park.

The boys worked well together but wore out fast. They did well all in all.
Baylor was dragging on the way back to the car. He was tired but wanted to carry a bucket of berries.

We stopped at Sonic for lunch and went to the water park to eat it and then play. The town put in a splash park last year with a grant from the state. I guess it was to help control the juveniles in town.
It kept our delinquents busy for a while. Connor was changing in his towel rather than in the bathroom. Baylor wanted to help protect his modesty.
Heather and I changed into our suits so we could have fun too!

We had fun in the sun and water until Connor knocked into Baylor, Baylor fell and hit his head on a mushroom fountain, and the crying started. He was done then and nothing was going to get him back in the water. So we packed up, changed, and headed to Heather's to play for a while. That was Baylor's favorite part of the day he said.
We took a bowl of blueberries to school on Tuesday. It was a drop in the bucket of blueberries.
We ate a lot and froze the rest for later enjoyment. I found a recipe for blueberry dumplings that I would like to try but it would have to be when someone was here for dinner because I am not sure how well it would go over. I know growing up once a year we had strawberry shortcake in the Spring and apple dumplings in the Fall for dinner. Dessert for dinner was always an awesome meal. I think blueberry dumplings in Summer would be awesome. Now I need to figure out what we can have in Winter.
We went from a heat wave week to one night of rain. The pool was really warm, 92 degrees on Sunday, and getting low due to evaporation. So we added about an inch of water and the next day it rained two and a half inches. This put the water level really high. Baylor was worried about being able to stand and he was still above water, but it was a bit close for his comfort!
But when Lori and I got in, the water started pouring out!! It was funny!
Another night Baylor wanted to wear his overbra (LOL) while playing outside. Of course I had to take advantage of it and have a photo shoot. He makes an adorable farmer!
