I do not have much free computer time right now so I know I am back dating this post. I have other things to post as well and my future self wants to look back and think I was really on top of my game!
Easter weekend we had Adam's birthday party on Saturday and Easter Sunday. I was up at the usual time and puttered around the kitchen getting things ready. There was a turkey breast to smoke and ham to bake. The rest of the food was fresh items that did not need worked on until closer to dinner time. After Baylor was up and about, and fed, I set up the table to color eggs with Meme. He wanted to color on some with his markers but the non-toxic water soluble markers these days just smear so it was not as successful as he was hoping..
But the color baths and other kits we had were. He was so cute with is bunny grabbers. He wanted to put his in orange first, still his favorite color. He took the grabbers and said, 'First we approach the egg," and then went on to explain the rest of the process. But I did not hear anything after the egg approach because I wanted to remember that.
Then we had a metalic kit with bags and a coloring gel. I put the gel in the bags and they squished the eggs around in the bags to color them. Baylor wanted orange so we put together the red and yellow.
Back to approaching the egg to make sure it was colored enough.
We also had little rollers from last year with paints from another kit ( I bought about 10 kits last year when they were $.10 at the store after Easter so we could afford to be a bit generous with the colors).
Our finished eggs, that within hours were peeled and made into deviled eggs for dinner. I only hide the plastic eggs outside anyway.
The Easter Buddy hid the eggs when he arrived. He is not a fan of the big eggs because he says they cannot be hidden but that did not matter to Baylor. He went right to the eggs he could see and was not too bothered to look on the ground for the hidden eggs.
But thankfully Jason was there helping him out.
While he was hunting the Easter bunny left his basket in the living room, It was a very dinosaur Easter with lots if dino themed items. Mom bought him the dvd Walking with Dinosaurs and he picked it up and said, "Am I seeing what I think I am seeing?" He has wanted to see the movie since it was in the theaters last fall. We watched it twice that day. He also got The Pirate Fairy that we watched twice as well.

The big green egg produced this lovely periwinkle lop eared bunny. We certainly do not need any more animals but he was soo cute. As was his black and white tuxedo brother that is mine!
Finally around 1:30 everything was ready for dinner. Let us eat!
Baylor stuck with mashed potatoes, smoked turkey and ham.
And then he assigned seats. Does't the bench seat look nice at the table?

After dinner Baylor and Buddy played egg-heads in the living room. Goofy guys they are.
I had a wonderful holiday. As usual it was a lot of work but I loved having family there and feeding everyone. Did you see that Gloria, our table was full.
