Round Up

5-2

The calendar has been changed and is already booked up.  I know I am missing things as well.

FB memory from May 2010

I picked up the Summer Camp schedule and I think I would rather do that than work.  I am sure Baylor will be a Squirt but we won't find out until camp starts.

5-3
School Open House was tonight so after I picked him up from COF (with a piece of pizza to eat on the way to school) we headed to Lower Allen.  There was only one other family in the room at the time and I had fun trailing behind Baylor as he showed me around the room.  Mrs. Anderson started off by saying she loves having him in class.  He is a good kid, so I could understand.

We went down the hall and played in the gym until Trenton hit my in the side of the face with the ball and laughed.  We left the room immediately.

I spoke to the reading teacher and thanked her for all her work with Baylor this year.  He has made great progress and is at the level he needs to be to pass 1st grade.  Mrs Anderson said she would be doing the testing soon as well.

He played in the 2nd grade playground for a bit before we headed home. It will be his playground in a few short months!!

The dandelions were in full bloom so I asked him to blow on some for photos.  He nearly inhaled one of them.

5-4

May the Forth be with You.  We love the Star Wars selfie app.

I wore my new shirt from Julie today.  I love it. (and I see I need to get some new foundations, as Molly would say.  I have lost any youthful perk in my later years)

5-6

The Revenge of the Sixth.  Baylor wore Star Wars shirts all week.

We had Cinco di Mayo at work and I was texting our previous manager about a questions she asked and sent back a photo of Tamela and I.

Lilies of the Valley deck my garden walk.

5-6

Forget-me-nots in their blue splendor.

Weekend Visit

4-29

How do birds have such good aim?  Right on my window before a road trip.  Blech.

I picked up Baylor at school at 12:45 at his early dismissal and we drove to the McGraw's.  We arrived around 2:00 which is before Cullen gets home so Baylor and I played with Lochlan while we waited.  I took some Star Wars selfies of Lochlan but we forgot to get Cullen later in the weekend. This app is pretty fun!

A few selfies.  He is already tech obsessed and will reach for any phone he can grab.

My man is still my favorite.

Lochlan helped with the vacuuming with a handheld vacuum.

He was sitting with me scrolling through Facebook in the evening.

I slept on the couch and the boys slept in Cullen's bed, Apparently they were up til almost midnight playing on the tablet.  Saturday morning I was up early, my usual time, made coffee, did the dishes and looked at magazines until the rest of the house was up and moving.  The boys did not sleep in very late and were silly at the table.

I should probably feed him before he eats Cullen.

We stayed the weekend so I could help paint their bed room a lovely lilac color.  Amy has been recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and it really hurts for her to just get out of bed. I like painting especially with someone.  I was in charge of the brush work and Julie did all the rolling.  We started in this corner and worked left around the room.  The opposite wall is a double door closet and powderroom door so we only had to paint the door frame really.

Except for the last wall where I let the boys finsh up by rolling over what we had done to make sure we had 'good coverage'.

Painting wrapped up around 2:30 and Julie and I headed out to Aldi and Target.  When we got back I made tacos for dinner while the boys were being just odd, funny creatures. Cullen is wearing a shirt as his pants and Baylor went for a tube top look.

Cullen watches an odd show on Youtube of two guys who do strange things.  One episode they watched was experiments with rubber bands.  So they came out with rubber bands on their faces.

The boys were pretty pooped out and went to bed on their own around 9, much closer to normal bed time.  Sometime in the night Baylor came out to the couch and cuddled in with me.  Cullen apparnelty later came out and spent the rest of the night on the other side of the couch. I asked them why they came out there.  Baylor: I could not get comfortable (I guess being squashed between me and the back of the couch was much more comfortable) Cullen: I could not find Baylor. So we had some early morning selfies.

Julie and Amy ran some furniture to their storage unit and we took care of Lochlan.  We spent the whole time watching TV and cuddled on the couch.  We left around 10 when they had to head south to Martinsburg to get some furniture from her parents house for their living room.

She sent me these photos of the room set up with the new dressers, bed, bedding, the curtains from Target and the new wall color.

Love it!

Round Up

4-24

I worked on moving stuff around again to get ready for Dave to move in and setting up Baylor's new TV/game area.  The new futon from IKEA is perfect for him but totally uncomfortable for me to sit in for a long time.  No support for my shoulders and head.   But he loves it.  I covered it with a fitted sheet because I know how he is.

He was binge watching Goosebumps on Netflix and was dancing to the theme song.

And he wanted to eat down there as well.

4-25

Baylor brought home his sprout house on Earth Day with a sad, mushy bean seed.  I replaced the rotten bean with some new beans and we have sprouts.  We will be planting bean soon.   I sent it to his teacher to show her our outcome of round two.

And we have lettuce seedlings.

And Dave's kitchenette was put in today. Don't get me started on this.

Homework is best done while crouching on top of the table.

4-26

Baylor will not stop growing.  I know this is highly inaccurate but I had a feeling he was shooting up again.

On the way to pick up Baylor the sky was so beautiful with the blue skies moving out as the storm clouds pushed their way in.  The line between the two was lovely.

Baylor was very interested in how we vote so I took him with me.  They did not mind as I showed him the process and we read over the candidates together.  He wanted to push the buttons for me but I explained it was not like playing a video game where anyone can make a red check mark.  He would have to wait 11 years before he can make his own voting mark.

The skies after the storms were equally beautiful.

4-27

Started packing the van for our weekend sleepover at the McGraw's.  It is bring your own toy box (which we are donating along with the toys inside to the day care) and painting supplies, because we are painting their bedroom this weekend.

I put a Star Wars app on my phone and instead of finishing homework, we took Star Wars selfies. Way more fun!

4-28

Baylor was going for a hair cut after school so I took before and after photos. Not very drastic, his choice, just out of his eyes now.

We used our force and made Gloria take Star Wars selfies too.
