Today is April 1st and I really need to catch up. We have just been busy and I have not had time to sit and play online. Meme is here for Easter weekend so Baylor is otherwise occupied. Since St. Patrick's day, we had a food day at work. I made Irish Sushi, corned beef, mashed potatoes, mustard and cabbage.
The following week we went to the circus. Lori usually takes Baylor and this year he wanted me to go along. I worked from home in the morning, we all went to my appointment, and then headed to the Zembo Temple for the circus. Baylor was all dressed up in his new yellow boots and matching rain coat.
Meme sent him some circus money and he bought a blue sword right away. For all he cared, we could have left right then and there, gone home and played with the sword for the rest of the day.
But we lured him with his first taste of cotton candy to the seats. He was asking about it because he saw it on a show. I am not keen on the grocery store cotton candy and had told him he could buy it at the circus. He did like it. But who doesn't?
The circus was all set up and since we were at the first showing on a Thursday afternoon we had our pick of seating. It was over half empty and that is not being pessimistic.
The first act was the trapeze. This is a small circus and while they were all good at what they did and there were no falls and I cannot do what they were doing, Alex the Lion was more exciting than these performers were.
And then the English Sheep dogs performed.

And then the clowns did an act: looking through a telescope at things. Here he is holding the big dipper.
And then the spinning wheel thing.
And the man and his horse.
And the tumblers. They were the most exciting of the first act. There were seven of them I believe and they were very good.
This row started with just the clowns and as each man jumped over them he was added to the line. At the end of the show, Baylor went up to some of them and told them he liked their moves. He was so cute!
At intermission he rode the pony cart.
and took his 5 turns down the blow up slide.
And then he had his face painted by the clown.
The second act was shorter but to Baylor is was much longer. He was done and ready to go. But was stayed to see the juggler (he was also the man with the horse),
These two on some high bar. All the aerial acts were done by the same people just different pairings of them.

And these two on these flexible poles they swayed back and forth on.. They were so close to the ceiling they could not stand on their hands like they were trying to.
We had a nice family day and all in all the circus was OK.
For our next trick we made some more sugar eggs for Easter gifts. This time Baylor helped me mix the sugar part and was very interested in making another one. I helped a bit with some of the finer icing details but most of it was him.
And then we had snow! It did not last long but was quite pretty.
