One of the greatest things with blogging is virtually meeting other families from all over the world. What is even more awesome, is meeting them in person. Monday Lori, Baylor, and I had that opportunity. Tara and Lucas came up from Virginia and we meet in Baltimore to take the boys to the see the fish. It was a beautiful day and we were super early and were able to spend some time outside watching the ducks and trash float around. (BTW I finally got my camera back from the repair shop!!)
And a huge crane that was apparently dredging the harbor. Baylor LOVED that right off.
And the shark sub was a great sight too. We found Tara and Lucas right away but Julie was working. It was Monday after all. Lori was kind enough to stand in line to get our tickets while we walked around with the boys. We exchanged gifts for the boys, great minds think alike! They gave Baylor a Thomas water color book which is right up his artsy alley. We did not have to wait long to get inside. For a Monday it was pretty crowded but it is Spring Break and there were lots of families there too.
First off we did the fun coin pressing. They charge twice as much as every other place and have four options at three machines. And we found out in another part of the place they had 12 more options all saying collect all four! At $1.01 a pop, we stuck with two choices, although I wish we would have waited for the other machines! And we picked out one for Lucas.

The boys hit it off right away. They are only a year apart so it was easy for them to get along. The bubble tubes are so much fun. I know this is fuzzy but the colors of the tubes are more accurate without the flash and since they are in a dark room the flash was really needed.

One of the first things you see is the big ray tank. Baylor was all about the rays, sharks, and the giant turtle swimming around. Every level you go up you can still see the pool and he loved looking at them on every floor.
This was an east coast pool and the boys were able to look at it together. Most of the exhibits were packed with people and not a good photo opportunity. Most of the time was spent making room for them to see anything!
One of his still moments. He is a two year old on the go and eventually his mommy had to get a back pack to keep track of him. He had a great view then!
Tara held him on the escalators but on this moving ramp she let him stand. He was not too sure about it but did great!

So I have a bunch of other photos to upload but blogger is being fussy again. I will have to do a part two on the photos. We were so glad to meet Tara and Lucas. We really felt very comfortable with each other and I don't think there were any awkward moments of weird silence or blank staring at each other. We had a really good time and look forward to having dinner together tomorrow at Texas Roadhouse. They drive up through here on their way to Julie's family home in NY and are making the trip for Easter. We left saying we need to plan another date and did not think it would be in two days! I am excited to meet the whole family this time!!!
I will probably edit this post a few times. My brain is not working and with Baylor on my lap and Cars on the TV, I am not fully plugged in right now.
