The Morning Ride to Circle of Friends As Seen By Baylor

Baylor and I took a few before pictures this morning and of course he just has to be the crazy kid he is.

And wonderfully loving as well.

And silly.

And a goofball.

And a kid who still wants Mommy to see everything. And capture Venom in the picture as well.

And then he wanted to see the picture.  And then he wanted to document his ride to day care. So here we go, the ride to Circle of Friends as seen from the backseat by a seven year old.

Driving out of Lisburn

At the four way stop, darn finger got in the photo.

Turning onto Lisburn Rd.  It was a pretty dismal morning so the photos are a bit blurry.

Driving by the driving range.

Trying to get the red bud trees but missing them.

His perspective

Caught some pink flowering trees.

And his shoe.

Darn finger got in the way again.

The back of my seat.

The new townhouses growing up in the old pasture.

Way out there is a large flag blowing in the breeze.  But it is the tiny speck in the center. He did not know how to enlarge the frame yet.

The turn from Lisburn Rd to Slate Hill Rd.

Lower Allen Elementary at the corner of Slate Hill and Gettysburg Rd.

Study of  A House with Porch

The turn onto Main Street, with the finger getting into the frame again.

The lovely large lilac at the stop sign behind the church.

Welcome to Circle of Friends.

At a Methodist Church

The view every morning of Landon running at Baylor when we open the door. With Zayden and Marcel behind him

Zayden and Landon

Zayden, Landon, and Marcel

And all four boys, who could not hold still for one second, but that is what makes them so amazingly fun.

And there you have it, our morning drive and arrival to day care, as seen by Baylor.

Play Date!

I love play dates with my friends because I get to have fun as well.  The McGraw family showed up around 1, minus Amy who had committed to going to a bridal shower.  I had a Greek meal planned and made Julie a birthday cake since her birthday was last Sunday. Chocolate cake and frosting with a salted caramel filling.  Yum!

Greek chicken on the barbie, Greek pasta salad, avocado hummus, avocado and white bean dip, salsa and chips, and veggies, oh my!

While we waited for them to arrive we played with bubbles.  I love bubbles and it was fun to see Baylor still enjoying them as well.

When the boys were out together Baylor pulled out his giant badminton and all three of them 'played'.

When we were sitting outside talking and had Lochlan with us I pulled out the giant bubble wand and we made some fun bubbles together.

Cullen was 'trick' riding on Baylor's bike and of course we had to watch each jump.  Cullen has a ramp at home and is used to jumping.  Thankfully for me, Baylor is not.

The cake was a surprise and the now shirtless boys were happy to sing and have some cake and fresh mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I got to eat with Lochlan as the boys were good together.  He is such a cutie!

I had to take our customary selfie of course with a mint ice cream drip this time.

They stayed for long afternoon visit and little man was super tired.  She finally was able to get him to fall asleep and he was so cute all passed out on the couch while we talked and watched some TV shows I had saved for when she came over.  She stayed even long enough to see Gloria when she got home from work.  And of course with his late nap, Lochlan was up late that night!!

Round Up

4-18
My Monday dinner date at Tokyo Diner

His favorite part as always, the onion volcano.

4-19

Asparagus harvest at last.  Mom will be very jealous but she did get two stalks on Saturday so she did have the first 'sparkus of 2016.

4-20

After all the crocheting I did in the winter, come 2016 I was interested in embroidery.  I made a sugar skull for Julie as she loves them as much as I do. The frame was free at the day care, good deal!

It was time for the pool to go and I know if I don't get it done, the buying of the new pool will not be done either.  Since we run it as a salt water pool, it takes a beating as the salt is very corrosive. The poles were very rusted and over the winter it developed a hole.  I cut a larger hole in it to drain the remaining water and took it down while Gloria and Baylor were out.

Going,

 Going,

Gone.

4-21

Totally forgot to post to Instagram, only the second day I missed this year.   I always ask Baylor what homework we have to do and tonight he said Web and Math or we can do something outside to celebrate Earth Day on Friday.  I was planning on planting red beet seeds so I suggested that. He was OK with helping me.  I let him hack into a bag of soil with his shovel and we dug it into the bed together.

Then we raked it and planted two rows of seeds and a cluster on the side of the seeds he had left over in his hand.  I wish he helped me more in the garden but we did plant lettuce seeds together on Tuesday so it was a good week.

4-22

Good Morning and Happy Friday

Round Up

4-11

More love from Baylor to DiAnn.  I had to tell him she could not come on Wednesday but will be here on Saturday for the Aunt's meeting

I hate cats on the table but Grimm does not seem to mind.  And being that he sits like a tub of love, I let it go. This time.

4-12
I have realized the Garden Fairies are not coming to my rescue. Maybe I should tell my younger self to remember how much work goes into the pretty flowers come the spring.

4-13

Eddy woke me up at 2:20 to go outside.  After laying awake for an hour I decided to start my day.  I am a morning person anyway.

What happens when I am asked to blow up balloons for a co-worker.  There are about 70+ balloons off all sizes in there.

Time to set up my cleaning supplies store. Aunts meeting on Saturday.

4-14
I had a late afternoon appointment and did not get out until around 4:30.  Rt 15 traffic at this time of day is not something I want to get used to.

4-15

Mud Hen bar cookies for the Aunt's Meeting Saturday,

Baylor loved the brown sugar meringue topping.

4-16

Peanut Butter Mousse Pie with a Brownie bottom.

I asked Aunt Betty to take a picture. She does not hear very well and thought I wanted her to look at something on the phone.

Eddy enjoying the warm sun on her old bones.

We went to Adam's 3rd birthday party Saturday afternoon.  Baylor had fun playing with the other boys there, running in the park.

And playing baseball.  It is up in the corner of the photo.

4-17

We went to our first trip to the flea market on this beautiful Sunday morning.  Sadly, we could not find the Lego man but we will try again soon.

He is my sonshine.

When we left the market, the traffic line to get into it was crazy long!

The rest of the day I spent working on the gardens.  Many hours and two trips to the creek bank, there was progress, but as much as I would have liked.
