Love and Light and Lots of Mojo for Meme and Pap

Mema and Pap are superstars in Baylor' universe.  Unfortunately, neither one are doing very well this week and it is scarying the you know what out of us.  Meme has a laundry list if medical issues including a past heart attack attributed to a medicine she was taking at the time, but she is careful about taking her meds (not the one that made her sick) and trying to be good with her diet.  For the most part she does not have problems. Sunday she went to the local hospital because she was vomiting and had chest pains.  She has a known history of anxiety and a hernia so we were not very worried when we heard she was there.  By Monday they were transfering her to our local hospital because they found a blockage in an artery.  Her heart Dr is down here and they wanted him to check her out.  He said she needed the balloon proceedure and a stint put in.  Tuesday she went down for the proceedure and they could not do it because they found more blockages and decided she needed a triple bypass!!! Lori's dad had the same thing done about 15 years ago so the family has been through this before.  Meme also has COPD and since a bypass is a more intrusive surgery than the stint proceedure, they had to wait to consult the lung Dr and the heart Dr to make a plan for surgery.
The rest of Tuesday and Wednesday she rested in the hospital with Lori there all day and Dave, one of Meme's other grandson's, who lives with us, staying with her in the evenings.  Pap worked on Wednesday and was to come back down Thursday. He is over 70 and a plumber and will not slow down.  He has been sick for the last few weeks and yesterday was out working in the cold rain.  He called our house this morning and he is too sick now to come down.  Lori had to get a hold of Dave's dad Dave, or June as we call him, to see if he could take Pap to the Dr because he is too weak to drive.  June is working in our area today but Jason, his other son, went over to help Pap get dressed and June's girlfriend is going to go along to the Dr so she can make sure someone knows what to do for Pap.  He is functionally illerate and cannot hear very well so if Meme is not there to get everything right someone has to be.  And Lori cannot be in both places at the same time since they are an hour and a half apart.  We are very glad to have them helping out when we cannot be there.
Today is the surgey for Meme and I hope and pray to whatever is going on in this universe we live in that everything goes well and she will recover quickly and Pap will take some time to rest and recover too.  Baylor needs his Meme and Pap for many years to come and so do Lori and I.
