I Spy with my little eye

The makings for peach pie!

First buy a ton of peaches at a great price.

Boil water, give them a dip, slip off the skins, and slice.

Add a bit of sugar.

Make the pie crust.

Roll out the bottom crust.

Prepare filling, fill pie, and dot with butter.

Roll out top crust and cover the filling.

Trim the edges and crimp.

Apply egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Place in oven and wait for delicious goodness to come out.

For second pie, enlist assistant baker to make the crumbs.  The assistant's assistant Daisy is watching from on top of the bread.

Apply crumbs to prepared second pie.

While I was pottering around the kitchen, the sounds of the fair were coming in the window and screen door.  It was a wonderful evening in the kitchen with delicious results.
